Meet the coaches



Mike Shultz



Mike Schultz, owner of Sharkk Fitness, is a certified Onnit steel mace specialist turning MMA fighters into champions through movement specific conditioning. He loves the sport of MMA, living in Denver with his family, podcasts, and conspiracy theories. Sharkk Fitness was born in 2015 based off of Mike's spirit animal the great white shark. Mike graduated from Heritage College with a AOTA degree and has experience with clients from ranging from bariatric to professional fighters. He has spent the last 3 years developing a training style that maximizes all areas of strength, power, and movement. A major focus of his training is injury prehab and rehab to ensure fighters are performing at their full potential. Mike is an undefeated amateur kickboxer on Genesis Fight Team.



Layli Lederman



Layli, owner of Sharkk Fitness and Real Good Food, is an Onnit Academy certified trainer that strives to help people through nutrition and meal plans. Her love for food is only matched by her love for Denver, her dogs, and coffee.Layli is one of the driving forces in the creation of Sharkk Fitness. Her passion is to provide athletes with the conditioning and nutrition to perform at the highest level. She recently started her line of fight meals as a Lockhart & Leith certified nutritionist and weight cut specialist. Layli applies a full Sharkk Fitness lifestyle in her grappling, jiu jitsu, and MMA on Team Grinders.

Class Descriptions



Mace 1





Develop strong fundamentals using the steel maces. Maces are a powerful tool for fluid movement patterns, rotational and grip strength as well as injury recovery.



Mace 2





Master movement patterns through powerful flows with the steel mace. Maces are a powerful tool for fluid movement patterns, rotational and grip strength as well as injury recovery. Must be proficient in Mace 1.



Steel Mace Yoga





A challenging combination of yoga positions and flows combined with steel mace exercises. Excellent to increase strength in flexibility.



Kettlebell 1





Enhance the classic kettlebell with fundamental form and powerful whole body movements to increase strength, power, and endurance.



Kettlebell 2





Maximize strength and power with the kettlebell. Flow through sport specific movement patterns that translate into your fight. Must be proficient in Kettlebell 1.



Rolling/Recovery





Experience the physical benefits of rehab and prehab through the power of the rad roller system. Essential for injury prevention, recovery, and consistent training.



Pyramids





A steady increase/decrease in reps with movements designed to increase strength and rotational power.



Tabata





High intensity movements alternating with short rests. Excellent for increasing cardiovascular endurance



Circuits/HITT





A combination of total body exercises designed to challenge your heart rate and muscular endurance.



Lifting





Pick stuff up and put stuff down. All levels welcome.
